After several months of problems with my laptop. it has finally given up and died.
Unfortunately this means I will be offline for a while, both for updates on thsi blog and to respond to any emails. This weekend I hope I may somehow be able to fix my computer (or borrrow a computer to use until I save enough for a replacement)
